12 Week 50lb Fitness Challenge Fail?

Back in August of 2009 I started a 12 Week 50lbs Fitness Challenge. When I first started on this insane plan I was weighing 424.4lbs. I am now at 390lbs which means that so far I have lost over 34lbs since August.

This means that if I lose another 16lbs I would have reached my goal of the first 50lbs gone.

I am at a point that I am feeling like I am worth the effort to lose weight. I have been living my life with so many obstacles that are just unavoidable.

I have been kind of down about not having lost all 50lbs by now, but the deal is that I have lost weight and that is what is important right?

I have been trying to rethink my life path as far as my career goals and relationships and things like that.  None of that matters if I am overweight and not in the best healh I could be in right?

Since I have started this blog I have made so many really cool friends that email me and some that I even talk to on the phone. This journey has made me look at health in a new way and has given me a second chance to do a full Mr. Meltdown makeover.

It is worth the effort and hard work to know that I am going in the right direction in life and it feels good. I have to say that just because something is hard and you have to work at it for a long time doesn’t mean I should put it off. I think a little more logically now and set small goals to reach and that helps me stay on target.

I did realize I am not perfect and sometimes fall off track of my diet but now I get back into the swing of it quicker. I find that it is so much easier for me to push away cheese cake and my favorite apple pie and pick up an apple now.

So if anyone is going through what I am going through and on a diet please don’t give up it is possible to reach your goals.

I am not at my goal yet but I will be soon God willing and if I am doing it then anyone else can too.
