Mr. Meltdown was launched in July of 2009 to document an online weight loss diary. When I first started this site I was using the Standard American Diet approach. This method unfortunately did not successfully transform the 425lb frame into the 200lb hunk I so desired to be. I quickly found that this approach was not as effective as I wished and have since tried to regroup my focus.

Fast forward to today and you will find some things have changed since then. No I am not yet at my goal weight which is around 200lbs depending who I look and feel. No I am not even close yet to where I am working to get to weight wise or am I trying to teach others to do what I have not done yet myself.

I am what you call a work in progress and have finally decided to put my best foot forward and CHANGE MY LIFE!!

Raw Food Diet

Why am I choosing the Raw Food lifestyle as an answer to my obesity issues? Why am I looking at Raw Vegan as an answer to my problems? The answer is simple and not as complicated as you may think. I WANT TO LIVE BY EATING LIVING FOODS!

I have read my share of articles regarding health issues contributed by animal protein based diets and was scared out my mind! I to this date have never read an article about anyone dying from eating Raw Vegan and challenge you to prove me wrong!! I think eating fruits, nuts, berries and veggies just makes since to me over eating dead flesh. I am not going to tell you that going on a raw food diet eliminates cravings for meat but I will say that “health is wealth” and being fat and sick is not LIVING!!

The picture above was taken in 1998 when I was 215lbs., no I was not fat all my life. I know the picture is dark but I don't have many of me when I was slim and this was what was available.
