<p>Back in August of 2009 I started a 12 Week 50lbs Fitness Challenge. When I first started on this insane plan I was weighing 424.4lbs. I am now at 390lbs which means that so far I have lost over 34lbs since August.</p>
<p>This means that if I lose another 16lbs I would have reached my goal of the first 50lbs gone.</p>
<p>I am at a point that I am feeling like I am worth the effort to lose weight. I have been living my life with so many obstacles that are just unavoidable.</p>
<p>I have been kind of down about not having lost all 50lbs by now, but the deal is that I have lost weight and that is what is important right?</p>
<p>I have been trying to rethink my life path as far as my career goals and relationships and things like that.  None of that matters if I am overweight and not in the best healh I could be in right?</p>
<p>Since I have started this blog I have made so many really cool friends that email me and some that I even talk to on the phone. This journey has made me look at health in a new way and has given me a second chance to do a full Mr. Meltdown makeover.</p>
<p>It is worth the effort and hard work to know that I am going in the right direction in life and it feels good. I have to say that just because something is hard and you have to work at it for a long time doesn&#8217;t mean I should put it off. I think a little more logically now and set small goals to reach and that helps me stay on target.</p>
<p>I did realize I am not perfect and sometimes fall off track of my diet but now I get back into the swing of it quicker. I find that it is so much easier for me to push away cheese cake and my favorite apple pie and pick up an apple now.</p>
<p>So if anyone is going through what I am going through and on a diet please don&#8217;t give up it is possible to reach your goals.</p>
<p>I am not at my goal yet but I will be soon God willing and if I am doing it then anyone else can too.</p>

<p>Hi everyone!!<br />
I know I have not posted in a week but I had some projects that took up most of my time.<br />
The good news is I stuck to my diet and kept up my progress. I weighed myself yesterday and I have finally reached the 300 zone!!!!!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>I am now 395lbs!!! YEA!!</em></strong></p>
<p>I am so happy right now and proud of myself! I remember not to long ago a doctor told me that <em><strong>&#8220;I was a walking time bomb just waiting to explode.&#8221;</strong></em><br />
I just don&#8217;t want to get to that point and this is the way I will fight it! I don&#8217;t want to prove him right.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t want to wait until I am rushed to the hospital to lose weight and end up on medication with lost abilities from a stroke that could have been prevented.<br />
So this challenge is not about to end after I reach my first goal. It is only the beginning for me and that is what&#8217;s important.<br />
I have a long way to go, but I am making progress now in the right direction.<br />
I went to the track today and did my mile and plan to get that in everyday this week.</p>
<p>I am going to turn it up now and put more into my workouts and go harder on my plan.<br />
I made a quick video of my walking and wanted to share it with you. I feel so blessed that I am doing this and hope everyone that is working out is also doing well.<br />

<p>Hi everybody!</p>
<p>It is that time once again for this week’s weigh in so let’s get to it. Today is Monday and the beginning of a new week for me.</p>
<p>This week will mark the 4<sup>th</sup> week on the 12 Week 50lb Fitness Challenge. This is a great accomplishment for me just sticking to this lifestyle change and dramatic eating improvement that I’ve made.</p>
<p>I have been drinking my water eating my fish and lifting my weights like clockwork minus a mishap last week.</p>
<p>Besides that I have been doing good and ready to get another week under my belt! YEA!!</p>
<p>How have all of you Team Meltdown members been doing? Let me know post your progress!!!!</p>
<p>I know I am babbling a bit so let’s talk about this week’s weight loss. <span> </span>I am now down to 400.2lbs which means my total lost so far is 24.2lbs!!!</div>
<p>I feel so happy about that considering I was a bad boy last week and messed up. But I guess with all the workouts my metabolism is kicking in and might have helped the scale in this case a little. If there are any experts out there, let me know if that is the case?</p>

<p>So now here is the big Mr. Meltdown news of the week. It is now phase 2 of my diet and fitness program and I will now rewrite my workout to add a little more muscle building into my routine. I want to make sure I am lifting a little more aggressively to tone my skin as much as possible.</p></div>
<p>I have seen the results of so many weight loss stories from such great people and also the horror stories of lose skin once the fat was gone. So I am going to do as much as I can now so that I can decrease at least some of the amount of extra skin I might have once I reach my goal.</p>
<p>If anyone has any suggestions on this please let me know so I can take some notes. Well enough of me being long winded. LOL That is all I got for today so check out the video below and I will catch all of you beautiful people a little later!</p>
